    Dear Colleagues,

    Alzheimer's disease is a kind of neuro-degenerative disease occurring in old age and early-old age, it is the most common type of senile dementia manifested by continuous deterioration of memory and cognitive function, progressive decline of daily life ability, a variety of mental symptoms and behavioral disorders. Alzheimer's disease pathology is well characterized by neuroinflammation, neurofibrillary tangles, neuronal loss, and amyloid angiopathy. The exact pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease is unclear and is believed to be a common result of aging, genetic and environmental factors. Disease modification drugs of Alzheimer’s disease is the key development, including the drug for synaptic plasticity and neuroprotection, treatment for improvement of metabolic disorders and energy imbalance, target for inflammation and vascular factors. In addition, non-drug therapy including acoustic and light stimulation, rTMS, DBS, and cognitive rehabilitation training have all shown some efficacy in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. This special issue features the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, contributions of this field is welcomed.
